About Take Root Therapy

Who we are:

We are Take Root Therapy, a group of psychotherapists and art therapists. But you might also call us self-compassion promoters. When Saba (the founder of Take Root Therapy) was in high school, a classmate called her “hugger of the world and embracer of its eccentricities.” This speaks to our values at Take Root Therapy, and how we approach our clients.

What we do:

We help people:

-develop fulfilling, healthy relationships

-understand and ultimately change unhelpful relationship patterns

-be open and vulnerable, so they can connect with others more deeply

-be their most authentic selves

-understand themselves and their feelings, and respond to their feelings with intention

-make choices based on what they want in their lives


We support our clients in better understanding themselves and confronting their fears so that they can better connect with themselves and know how to connect with people who value them. We know from our years in practice that people sometimes get stuck, but that doesn’t mean they have to stay stuck.


Having the right type of support and having an experienced, caring therapist in your court as you figure this stuff out can allow you to create the change you want in your life.

We have been there.
