Hi there,
Happy Holidays. I hope you’re gearing up for a restful week and making plenty of space for laughter, play, and sleep.
While I’m currently all cozy with my family, it’s friendship that has been on my mind. During this long and exhausting year, my friends have been the ones that have gotten me through. They are the ones that I’ve called upon when I need someone to lean on, and they are the ones who have been there to celebrate with me when I’ve made it through to the other side.
This month’s blog article is about friendship, specifically making new friends as an adult or deepening existing friendships. I don’t think friendships get nearly enough attention, and I hope this is something we can change because they are so wildly important.
If you need support on this topic or anything else, please reach out to us. You can contact us via email at info@takeroottherapy.com or by phone/text at (323) 388-5578.
Wishing you warmth and looking forward to connecting in 2025,
Saba Harouni Lurie (she/her/hers)

I slowly got to know the other members, but it took me time to get comfortable, and the relationships stayed pretty surface-level…

Volunteer At Scribble
Scribble is a non-profit counseling center offering sliding scale therapy, workshops, performances, and classes. As a volunteer you will be supporting our events programming which in turn supports the sliding scale therapy!
There are two entry-level volunteer roles at events – door and bar. Both are low stress and pretty social. They’re a great way to meet people in the community and learn more about our programming.
Our sound volunteer roster is full for now, but feel free to send in a resume.
Last is our floor volunteer role. This opportunity is for those who have been a reliable and involved entry-level volunteer. This role is responsible for the space, the event production, and over sees the volunteers.
